Feeling love for Spring Run on St. Valentine’s morning

Day 9 of Scottish Season 15/16. I got off to an early start this time arriving at Glencoe Mountain carpark just after 8:30. And yes, it was still full. Half term has been good for business I hope. Maybe this will help fund repair of the Cliff Hanger chairlift. I think the chair not running went some way to causing the longest queue I’d ever seen for the Wall T-bar.

The long queue caused, no doubt by the disabled Cliffy

I was on the hill at 9:00 and managed to bag myself a sunny Spring Run. The first run of the day. Snow was great here. The drive up had been stunning with clear condition. This persisted until late morning when some cloud started hanging about on the summit. There were still however sunny patches for most of the day.

Despite the carpark being jam packed full, the top of the mountain remained quiet.

Happy Valley was a bit scraped in places and Main basin had great wind blown snow.

Once again the vibe was great. Talking with folk from as far away as Newcastle and even Oxford!

With more snow on the way, things are looking up for our Instagram #scotskimeet2016 next Saturday.
