A Song of Home

Glencoe Pass
Within us all are planted the seeds of our homeland

There is a land that sang to me
Through another’s eyes
A haunting and familiar tune
A dreamer’s lullaby
A sound so sweet my spirit sure
I’d walked upon it’s shore
Perhaps a ballad my soul once sang
In a life I’d known before
An ancient rhyme that called to me
A melodic gentle wind
That caressed the hills in silence
Blowing Over loch and glen
A sonnet of remembrance
A longing I can’t explain
That beckoned me to waltz along
In union with each refrain
If in this life I have the chance
To follow the piper’s sound
My heart shall bow it’s knee to earth
And my lips shall kiss the ground
