Glencoe, Sunday 23rd March

Had an early start as I had to take the folks to the airport for 5:30am. This meant a quick trip home to get my snowboard gear then head up North. It was a glorious drive up in the morning sunshine, and what’s more, it continued once up the hill. Unfortunately it had snowed the night before, and as has too often been the case, there wasn’t the manpower to dig out the top lifts yet again. During the best season for snow ever, I’ve only made it to the top via lift twice! Anyway, the snow was awesome and I was scoring solitary tracks around the back of the wall at the bottom of Etive Glades. I also did a couple of laps of Mugs Alley, but the wall was where it was at. Windblown powder snow and tracks getting refreshed each time and sun shining, what more could you ask for? – Maybe for the top lifts to be running!!
