Day 16 of Scottish season 15/16. What can I say? The rough cut above does all the talking. I reacted to Glencoe Mountain Resort’s Facebook post the evening before predicting fresh snow and sunshine. I hastily arranged to be there next morning.

Many like minded folk had made Glencoe their destination this morning, so I very quickly made my way up the mountain. So impatient to score some fresh tracks was I that I used my Freeride coaching from my previous trip and ducked into the rocky area (others avoid) skiers right from the top of the Wall T-bar. I did two laps of this and then went to the top for Happy Valley / Etive Glades. It was here, just before the top of the Wall that was almost completely untouched and easy to find fresh is. I was loving it.

The sun stayed with us for the whole day, something I wasn’t expecting. Just before heading down to the cafe for early lunch I went skiers left of the Cliffhanger Chair, it was her I got some awesome face shots. Jamming heel side turns and spraying myself with snow, so good!

After lunch I took skiers right of Cliffy and the short steep face that drops to Mugs Alley. I did this a couple, of times, passing a photoshoot that was taking place in the bottom of the Canyon.

Spring Run was a bit tracked out by the time I hit it but was fun, especially putting together what I had learned on my previous visit.

I was sorely tempted to take another day off work, but I have things to do so it looks like the weather may be turning by the weekend. Fingers crossed any rain that comes doesn’t have too detrimental an  effect on the snowpack.

Temperatures today were nice and cool, but the sunshine made it pleasant and the wind was non-existent. A wonderful Wednesday indeed.
